BirthdayEcho ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and name. If you sign in via Google, GitHub, or Twitter OAuth, we receive your email and public profile information from those providers.
- Birthday Data: You may provide names, birth dates, relationships, notes, and photos of your contacts. This data is stored securely and associated with your account.
- Usage Data: We do not collect analytics or tracking data. The app operates solely for the purpose of helping you remember birthdays.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the birthday reminder service
- To send local notifications for upcoming birthdays
- To authenticate your identity and protect your account
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Supabase, a secure cloud database platform with encryption at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
Photos & Uploads
Photos you upload (profile avatars, birthday contact images) are stored in Supabase Storage. These images are private to your account and not shared with other users.
Third-Party Services
Our app uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase: Database, authentication, and file storage (Privacy Policy)
- Google / GitHub / Twitter: OAuth sign-in providers
Children's Privacy
BirthdayEcho is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Rights
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. You may also delete individual birthday records and uploaded photos within the app.
